FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Rappahannock Economic Development Corporation (REDCO) is proud to announce that its President, Joe DiStefano, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation, effective January 2025. The Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), striving to create communities that are educated, confident, and empowered to save lives.

I align with their mission to foster a culture of action where individuals are prepared to respond to cardiac emergencies. I look forward to contributing to support the organization and helping empower the communities we serve.”
Distefano brings over 25 years of leadership experience in small business, commercial, and GovCon lending to the board. Prior to his tenure at REDCO, which began in 2015, he served as a market executive for a regional commercial bank headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia. His distinguished career also includes a decade of service in the U.S. Army.
Distefano currently also serves on the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Finance Committee and the Advisory Board for Riphean Investments, a Fredericksburg-based private equity firm investing in companies supporting the National Security community.
